Baseball Game Preview: Three Rivers Bulldogs vs. La Pryor Bulldogs

We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Three Rivers has four straight wins, La Pryor has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Last Friday, Three Rivers beat Sabinal 11-8.

Cody Sells was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. James Contreras was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, La Pryor lost 18-1 to Brackett on Friday.

La Pryor saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Markus Montellano, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Three Rivers pushed their record up to 9-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for La Pryor, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.
