Baseball Recap: Bellows Falls Has No Trouble Against Fair Haven

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bellows Falls). They blew past the Fair Haven Slaters 34-13 on Tuesday. The Terriers haven't had any issues with the Slaters recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Eli Allbee and Steven Joslyn did most of the damage at the plate: Allbee scored five runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his seven plate appearances, while Joslyn went 4-for-6 with six RBI, four runs, and one double. With that strong performance, Allbee is now averaging an impressive 2.5 runs per game. Will Hallock was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances.

Bellows Falls always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .618. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory got Bellows Falls back to even at 2-2. As for Fair Haven, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bellows Falls will square off against Hartford at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Fair Haven, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mount Anthony at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
