Football Recap: Gulf Breeze Comes Up Short

Gulf Breeze and Niceville squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Gulf Breeze had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Eagles 31-0. While losing is never fun, the Dolphins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 293rd, while the Eagles are ranked 79th).

Gulf Breeze's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Niceville, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Gulf Breeze does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Niceville, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 19-13 victory against Navarre on the 16th.
