Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Woodlawn). They really took it to the Goreville Blackcats for the full four quarters, racking up an 83-29 victory. With the Cardinals ahead 52-10 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Woodlawn was led to victory by Rylie Hockett and Andrea Kibler. Hockett went 6 for 12 en route to 15 points and eight steals, while Kibler went 8 of 14 on her way to 19 points in addition to six steals and five rebounds. Those 19 points gave Kibler a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Skinner, who went 7 of 13 en route to 14 points.

Woodlawn was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Goreville only posted five assists.

Several Blackcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Paige Shelley, who posted four points.

Woodlawn is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points per game. As for Goreville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-18.

Woodlawn will be playing at home against Webber at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Goreville has already played their next game (against Hardin County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
