Baseball Recap: South Starts Season with Victory on the Road

South had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against the Douglas Tigers on Tuesday as South made off with a 17-3 victory. This was payback for the Colonels, who suffered a 4-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South will head out to challenge Prouty at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Douglas, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Blackstone-Millville at 4:00 p.m. on April 2. The contest will give Douglas their first taste of in-conference action this season.
