Volleyball Recap: Fairfax's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Fairfax's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Cesar Chavez Champions 3-2. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Stampede as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Fairfax wouldn't go down easily and took Cesar Chavez into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-15, 25-20, 15-25, 15-12.

Amadu Mulbah paced Fairfax's offense, picking up 22 kills. Mulbah got some help from Terry Mckee and his 26 assists. Mckee also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Justus Ruiz Gonzales, racking up two apiece.

Fairfax's win bumped their record up to 3-20. As for Cesar Chavez, their loss was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-15.

Fairfax does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cesar Chavez, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against South Mountain on the 1st.
