Baseball Recap: Nathan Hale Takes a Loss

Nathan Hale suffered their closest loss since April 15, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Seattle Academy Cardinals by a score of 8-6. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nathan Hale saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kai Malloch, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI. Finn Leach was another, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Nathan Hale now has a losing record of 6-7-1. As for Seattle Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Nathan Hale will welcome Cleveland at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed seven runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Seattle Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Roosevelt at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Roughriders' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Cardinals' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
