Softball Recap: String Theory Has No Trouble Against Tacony Academy Charter

String Theory lost to Tacony Academy Charter back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. String Theory put the hurt on Tacony Academy Charter with a sharp 14-4 win. String Theory might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Alana Juliano was incredible, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and five RBI. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Leah Durrant also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

String Theory always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .676. They are 6-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

String Theory now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Tacony Academy Charter, they moved to 6-2 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. String Theory will take on Swenson Arts & Tech at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. String Theory are facing the Lion at the right time seeing as the Lion are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Tacony Academy Charter, they will square off against Maritime Academy Charter at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
