Soccer Recap: Westwood Comes Up Short

Westwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 8-1 to the Palm Bay Pirates. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 5-1.

Their goal came courtesy of Larrianna Holmes, who's now up to two this season.

Westwood's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Palm Bay, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westwood will head out to face off against Master's Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Master's Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.2 goals per game this season. As for Palm Bay, they will venture away from home to take on Eau Gallie at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
