Recap: Howard Huskies vs. Griffin Bears
The Howard Huskies can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top against Griffin by a score of 28-21. This was payback for Howard, who suffered a 35-16 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Howard was led to victory by Jacolbie Allen and Ethan Ellington. Allen rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, while Ellington rushed for 41 yards and three touchdowns.
Howard's win bumped their record up to 4-4. As for Griffin, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Howard will head out on the road to face off against West Laurens at 7:30 p.m. on October 27th. West Laurens is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. Griffin will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Baldwin at 7:30 p.m. on November 3rd.
