Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Brynn Hagerman and Nidaya Nez Lead Flagstaff to Victory

Flagstaff entered their tilt with Cienega on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Bobcats. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Leading Flagstaff to victory were Nidaya Nez and Brynn Hagerman. Nez had five aces and three digs, while Hagerman had ten digs and one assist. That's the most aces Nez has posted over her last six contests. Megan Adams also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Flagstaff's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Cienega, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.

Flagstaff and Cienega should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings. The Eagles will take on Mohave at 6:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (15 vs. 258). Meanwhile, Cienega (ranked 62nd) will meet Pueblo (ranked 204th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
