Baseball Recap: Sullivan Triumphs

Sullivan never let their opponents score on Saturday. They came out on top against the Casey-Westfield Warriors by a score of 3-0. For the Redskins, this counts as revenge for the 4-2 victory the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Cameron Crowe was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Crowe wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Marshall Robison, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Robison also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Sullivan's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Casey-Westfield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sullivan will head out to face off against Clinton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Casey-Westfield, they will face off against Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
