Buffalo has gone 7-0-1 against Mexia recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bison are taking a road trip to square off against the Black Cats at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Buffalo has four straight wins, Mexia has nine straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Buffalo is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Westwood on Tuesday as they made off with a 20-5 victory. Considering the Bison have won eight contests by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Skylar Parker made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Parker was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Izzie Stone, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Diane Zaldivar, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Buffalo hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four strikeouts batters in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Mexia's offense. They came up short against Fairfield on Tuesday, falling 15-0.

Mexia's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Buffalo, the win got them back to even at 10-10.

Everything went Buffalo's way against Mexia in their previous meeting back in March, as Buffalo made off with an 11-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bison since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
