The South Rowan Raiders will take on the Lake Norman Charter Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as South Rowan comes in on three and Lake Norman Charter on 23.
South Rowan is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against West Stanly, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Raiders have posted since September 4th.
It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day South Rowan got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 19-25, 25-20, 21-25, 15-13.

South Rowan can attribute much of their success to Campbell Withers, who had 34 digs and three assists, and Raegan Shell, who had 28 assists and nine digs. Those 28 assists gave Shell a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Lake Norman Charter got the win against Ashe County on Saturday by a conclusive 3-0.
Lake Norman Charter was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-15, 25-16.
South Rowan's victory bumped their record up to 22-6. As for Lake Norman Charter, their win bumped their record up to 28-3.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: South Rowan has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 7.4 aces per game. However, it's not like Lake Norman Charter struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.2 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
South Rowan might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Lake Norman Charter when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
