Softball Recap: Millard Takes a Loss

If Millard was feeling good fresh off their 25-8 takedown of North Sevier last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Millard came up short against Duchesne on Wednesday, falling 17-7. The defeat continues a trend for Millard in their meetings with Duchesne: they've now lost five in a row.

Jansie Chlarson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Maren Davies, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Millard's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Duchesne, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.

Coming up, Millard will head out on the road to square off against Water Canyon at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Duchesne, they will host San Juan at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Duchesne is facing San Juan at the right time seeing as San Juan is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
