Quitman is 8-2 against Castor since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Quitman Wolverines will face off against the Castor Tigers at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Quitman's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine matches.

Last Tuesday, Quitman ended up a good deal behind Simsboro and lost 85-69. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (56), the Wolverines still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Castor challenged Doyline on Tuesday. Castor took a 61-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Doyline. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Castor's defeat dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Quitman, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 19-7.

Quitman didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Castor in their previous matchup on January 14th, but they still walked away with a 72-68 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Quitman since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
