Alameda Contra Costa league recap: 5/14/12

Ryan Delaney was the best pitcher in the league this week. He accumulated one win and six strikeouts.

The league's longest active winning streak belongs to El Cerrito (16-6, 9-2), undefeated over its last four games. Two of those wins came in the past week, including a 15-3 win over Richmond. The team's hottest hitter over the past week was Shea Harrison, who had two hits and drove in four runs.

Hercules's pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing one hits and three walks to lead the league in both categories. On the season, the Titans have allowed just 73 hits, while striking out 72 batters. Christian Sadler leads the Titans with 36 strikeouts in 28 innings.

The Gauchos stole 28 bases this week, adding to their league-leading 116 steals on the year. Given the green light by manager Brian Nichols, Charlie Caccamo has racked up 30 steals on his own this season for El Cerrito.

The week's strikeout crown belonged to Izzy Behrman, who turned in eight Ks for Berkeley. He's third in the league with 39 total strikeouts.

Roman Sadler drove in four runners as Berkeley defeated Hercules 15-1 on Friday
