Baseball Game Preview: Lower Merion Aces vs. Ridley Raiders

The Lower Merion Aces will take on the Ridley Raiders at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Lower Merion will be strutting in after a win while Ridley will be coming in after a loss.

Lower Merion is returning to their home field after beating Haverford on theirs, despite the fact Haverford has dominated at home this season. The Aces came out on top against the Fords by a score of 7-3 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Ridley fell victim to Conestoga and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 8-0 to the Pioneers. The Raiders' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Lower Merion is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Ridley, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.

Lower Merion came out on top in a nail-biter against Ridley when the teams last played back in March, sneaking past 5-4. Do the Aces have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
