Meanwhile, Chaffey waltzed into their game on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. It was close, but they capped 2024 with a 52-50 victory over the Steelers. The win was all the more spectacular given the Tigers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 496th, while the Steelers are ranked 245th).

This is the second loss in a row for Western Christian and nudges their season record down to 7-11. As for Chaffey, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
