Volleyball Recap: Hanover Hawks vs. Whitman-Hanson Regional Panthers

Hanover hadn't done well against Whitman-Hanson Regional recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Hawks walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Panthers. For the Hawks, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Hanover had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-20, 30-28, 25-13.

Hanover can attribute much of their success to Maia Bonilla, who had 13 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Bonilla has posted since back in October of 2024.

Hanover wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Pembroke on the 10th. As for Whitman-Hanson Regional, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Silver Lake Regional on the 10th.
