Basketball Recap: Akiuk Memorial Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Akiuk Memorial had won two straight games and Jaylene Kalila did her part to make it three on Sunday. The Akiuk Memorial Grizzlies put the hurt on the Lewis Angapak Blue Jays with a sharp 53-31 victory for which the team can thank Kalila, who posted 19 points. That's the most points she has posted since back in January.

Akiuk Memorial pushed their record up to 21-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points over those games. As for Lewis Angapak, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-8.

Akiuk Memorial didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 46-44 victory against Z John Williams on the 3rd. Lewis Angapak does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
