Basketball Game Preview: Lamar County Trojans vs. McNair Mustangs

The Lamar County Trojans will venture away from home to challenge the McNair Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Wednesday, Lamar County took a blow against Jasper County, falling 73-42. The Trojans have struggled against the Hurricanes recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, McNair was able to grind out a solid victory over Utopian Academy for the Arts on Tuesday, taking the game 75-63.

Lamar County better keep an eye on Kente Taylor. He was instrumental in McNair's win, putting up 19 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Jyi'Shan Duffie, who posted ten points along with five rebounds and five steals.

Lamar County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for McNair, their win ended a 21-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-16.
