Basketball Recap: Central Takes Down Ranked Har-Ber

On Friday, Central faced Har-Ber in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Central Tigers managed a 49-45 win over the Har-Ber Wildcats. The 49-point effort marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Central has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points per game. As for Har-Ber, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Nashville at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Har-Ber, they will take on Lamar in a tournament on Friday.
