Preview: Sioux City West vs. Sioux City East
Sioux City East will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Sioux City West at 12:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Sioux City East had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They were completely outmatched, falling 0-44 to Bishop Heelan Catholic.
Sioux City West had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against Jefferson last Friday as they made off with a 34-7 win. Sioux City West was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the rankings had forecast.
Sioux City West's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Sioux City East's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Sioux City West can add another positive mark to their record or if Sioux City East can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Sioux City West's step.
