Basketball Game Preview: Warner Eagles vs. Hartshorne Miners

The Warner Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Hartshorne Miners at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Warner has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Warner is headed into the contest having just posted their closest victory since January 20th on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Wilburton 45-42. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, everything went Hartshorne's way against Spiro on Saturday as Hartshorne made off with a 54-30 win. The Miners have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 24 points or more this season.

Hartshorne is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Warner, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Warner strolled past Hartshorne when the teams last played back in February by a score of 61-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for Warner since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
