Basketball Recap: Leuzinger Takes a Loss

Leuzinger has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-52 heartbreaker at the hands of the Millikan Rams.

Despite the loss, Leuzinger still got an impressive performance from Joshua Garland, who posted 18 points. Garland's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Darrell Bagsby, who earned 11 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Millikan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joseph Wicker, who went 7 of 8 on his way to 17 points. Another player making a difference was Isma?Il Abdul-Rahman, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Leuzinger's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Millikan, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.

Leuzinger has already played their next match, a 73-50 win against Aquinas on the 28th. As for Millikan, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-61 defeat against Mayfair on the 28th.
