Foothill came out on top against Las Vegas on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run seventh inning. The Falcons had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 8-6. For the Falcons, this counts as revenge for the 7-4 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.

Foothill let JoJo Dixon and Steve Alvarado run wild. Dixon got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Alvarado went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one triple. Another player making a difference was Quinthus Mason, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Foothill has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 10.0 runs this season. As for Las Vegas, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 1-1-1.

Looking ahead, Foothill will face off against Elko at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Las Vegas, they will square off against Liberty at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
