Softball Recap: Wellborn Takes a Loss

After flying high against Cleburne County on Tuesday, Wellborn came back down to earth. The Wellborn Panthers fell just short of the Randolph County Tigers by a score of 8-6 on Wednesday. The Panthers have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meetings.

Wellborn's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Randolph County, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

While Wellborn had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
