Baseball Game Preview: DuBois Beavers vs. Indiana Little Indians

The DuBois Beavers will square off against the Indiana Little Indians at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (DuBois 3.8, Indiana 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.

DuBois is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They fell 4-1 to Hollidaysburg. The match marked the Beavers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

DuBois got a good showing from Alex Sago, who tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Sago is becoming a predictor of the Beavers' success: when he allows at most two hits the team is 8-2 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

On the hitting side, DuBois saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madix Clark, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Mason Dinkfelt also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, while Indiana put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Valley. The Little Indians narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Vikings 1-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Little Indians.

DuBois' loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Indiana, their victory bumped their record up to 15-1.
