Soccer Game Preview: Monroe vs. Huron

Monroe hasn't had much luck against Huron recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the River Rats at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Monroe is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand Lincoln a 15-0 shutout on Thursday. Monroe might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Huron, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against Dexter by a score of 3-1 on Saturday.

Monroe pushed their record up to 6-5-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 40 goals over those four games. As for Huron, they now have a winning record of 3-2-1.

Monroe might still be hurting after the 6-1 loss they got from Huron when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
