Baseball Game Preview: Franklin Wildcats vs. Bellbrook Golden Eagles

The Franklin Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the Bellbrook Golden Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Franklin is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Franklin came up short against Madison and fell 11-8.

Connor Leach and Connor Monk did some serious damage despite the final result: Leach scored two runs while going 1-for-3, while Monk scored a run while going 3-for-4. Monk also put up two RBI, which were his first of the season. Zach Beeson was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Bellbrook's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 7-4 to Edgewood.

Bellbrook now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Franklin, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Franklin couldn't quite get it done against Bellbrook when the teams last played back in May of 2024 as they fell 4-1. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
