Basketball Recap: Pine Tree Picks Up Third Straight Win at Home

Pine Tree's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 52-40 win over the Gilmer Buckeyes. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 61-58 on January 6th.

Pine Tree's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-15. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points over those games. As for Gilmer, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 20 of their last 23 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-26 record this season.
