Preview: Palisades Pumas vs. Berry Cardinal
The Palisades Pumas will stay at home for another game and welcome the Berry Cardinal at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th. One thing working in Palisades' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
Last Tuesday, Palisades' game was all tied up 29-29 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They were the clear victor by a 71-48 margin over Rocky River.
Among those leading the charge was Matt Dillard, who scored 19 points along with 6 rebounds. The matchup was his third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kingston Henry, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Berry's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 94-33 defeat at the hands of North Mecklenburg. Berry has struggled against North Mecklenburg recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Palisades' victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Berry, they bumped their record down to 1-5 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Palisades didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Berry when the teams last played back in February, but they still walked away with a 41-37 victory. Does Palisades have another victory up their sleeve, or will Berry turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
