Basketball Recap: Spanaway Lake Comes Up Short

Spanaway Lake lost against Olympia back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Spanaway Lake Sentinels were beaten by the Olympia Bears 59-30. While losing is never fun, the Sentinels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 190th, while the Bears are ranked 41st).

Spanaway Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Olympia, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spanaway Lake has already played their next contest (against Graham-Kapowsin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Olympia will host Bonney Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
