Basketball Recap: Boyd Anderson Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Boyd Anderson and Deerfield Beach squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Boyd Anderson had to settle for second. They took a blow against the Deerfield Beach Bucks, falling 53-17. The Cobras just can't catch a break and have now endured seven defeats in a row.

Despite the loss, Boyd Anderson still got an impressive performance from Amariah Tomlinson, who posted seven points in addition to ten boards and six blocks. That was a full 41.2% of Boyd Anderson's points, marking the third time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points. Jennica Joseph also deserves some recognition as she pulled down her first rebounds of the season.

Boyd Anderson's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Deerfield Beach, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.
