University Christian had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Rocky Bayou Christian Knights 11-1 on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Christians, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Lukas Brougham tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Bo Wilson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Bryson Harnage, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

University Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rocky Bayou Christian only posted an OBP of .348.

University Christian is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games. As for Rocky Bayou Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7-1.
