Basketball Recap: Amelia County Takes a Loss

Amelia County came up into this matchup off a tough 34-point defeat last Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Maggie Walker by a score of 52-49 on Wednesday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-46 back in December of 2024.

Amelia County dropped their record down to 2-14 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Maggie Walker, they moved to 5-10 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Amelia County has already played their next game (against Randolph-Henry), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
