Baseball Recap: Ashland Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Ashland's offense. They came up short against the Hickory Flat Rebels on Friday, falling 20-0. The loss continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their meetings with the Rebels: they've now lost seven in a row.

Ashland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Hickory Flat, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-10.

Coincidentally, Ashland and Hickory Flat will both be playing Jumpertown the next time they take the field. The Rebels will head out to face the Cardinals at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Blue Devils will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
