Other No. 1 teams include Archbishop Moeller (Cincinnati) in the Midwest, Punxsutawney (Pa.) in the Northeast, JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) in the West and Hamilton (Chandler, Ariz.) in the Southwest.
The ratings are based on the
MaxPreps Computer Rankings, which are posted twice a week. Also check out
playoff brackets from around the nation.
The five regions include the West (California, Hawaii, Alaska, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Colorado), Midwest (North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Ohio, Nebraska, Kansas), Southwest (Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, New Mexico), South (Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland), and Northeast (Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, District of Columbia, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine).
