Basketball Game Preview: Capital Jaguars vs. Eldorado Golden Eagles

The Capital Jaguars will head out to take on the Eldorado Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Capital will be strutting in after a victory while Eldorado will be coming in after a defeat.

Capital took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 57-56 photo finish over Manzano. The win was some much needed relief for the Jaguars as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Capital's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shania Gallegos, who posted 15 points. Miranda Larranaga was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Meanwhile, Eldorado played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Sandia 85-32. The Golden Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 56-23.

Eldorado dropped their record down to 8-12 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Capital, their win bumped their record up to 7-13.
