Recap: Kimball Jaguars vs. Oakdale Mustangs
The Kimball Jaguars were the 67-37 winner over the Oakdale Mustangs when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Kimball took a 63-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Oakdale. Kimball has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Kimball still got an impressive performance from Jaden Ryan, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tobe Nwankwo, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Kimball's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 11-11. As for Oakdale, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kimball will challenge Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Central Catholic is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.1 points per game. As for Oakdale, they will head out on the road to face off against Sierra at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
