The Geneva Vikings had just enough and edged out the Naperville North Huskies 9-7 on Friday. With that victory, the Vikings brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Mason Bruesch was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Geneva's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Naperville North, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Geneva will venture away from home to face off against Wheaton-Warrenville South at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Naperville North, they will head out on the road to challenge Romeoville at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
