Basketball Recap: Roundup Takes a Loss

Roundup lost against Red Lodge back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Roundup Panthers had to suffer through a 65-27 loss at the hands of the Red Lodge Rams. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-16.

Red Lodge's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alyssa Emineth, who went 9 of 17 on her way to 20 points and eight rebounds. Tayler Metzsch was another key player, going 8 for 16 en route to 17 points along with six boards and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Roundup and nudges their season record down to 1-7. As for Red Lodge, they moved to 4-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Park City the next time they take the court. Roundup will head out to face Park City at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Red Lodge will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
