Basketball Game Preview: Perry Hall Gators vs. Dulaney Lions

The Perry Hall Gators will head out on the road to square off against the Dulaney Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Perry Hall knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Dulaney likes a good challenge.

Perry Hall is headed into the game having just suffered their closest defeat since January 26, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of New Town by a score of 61-58. While losing is never fun, the Gators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while New Town are ranked 43rd).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dulaney). They blew past Chesapeake 83-58 on Wednesday. The win was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on five straight.

Perry Hall has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season. As for Dulaney, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.

Perry Hall lost to Dulaney on the road by a decisive 64-47 margin in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Perry Hall avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
