Basketball Game Preview: East View Patriots vs. Abilene Eagles

The East View Patriots and the Abilene Eagles will round out the year against one another at at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. East View has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Having struggled with 13 defeats in a row, East View turned things around against Pflugerville Connally on Friday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 53-38 win over the Cougars. The Patriots' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Abilene hadn't done well against Midland Legacy recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Abilene walked away with a 43-36 victory over Midland Legacy. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Abilene pushed their record up to 11-9 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for East View, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 5-16.
