Basketball Recap: Prospect Takes a Loss

Prospect was the 57-51 winner over Hinsdale Central when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Prospect Knights fell to the Hinsdale Central Red Devils 69-64. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 188th, while the Red Devils are ranked fourth).

Prospect's loss dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Hinsdale Central, the victory was the 24th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 27-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Prospect will face off against Elk Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Prospect is facing Elk Grove at the right time seeing as Elk Grove is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Hinsdale Central, they will square off against Proviso West at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
