Softball Recap: St. John Paul II Finds Playoff Glory Versus North Florida Christian

St. John Paul II extended their postseason success on Thursday against North Florida Christian. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Eagles 5-4. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

AMANDA THOMPSON spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, St. John Paul II saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was SANAA ROBERTS, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was ROBERTS' first of the season.

St. John Paul II's record is now 11-12. As for North Florida Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8.
