Slidell came tearing into Saturday's contest with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Catholic - N.I. Panthers.

Slidell not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Catholic - N.I. between 16 and 17 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-16.

Ava Barduca paced Slidell's offense, picking up seven kills. Barduca got some help from Ava Labat and her 22 assists. Brylee McGovern controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Slidell's win bumped their record up to 21-5. As for Catholic - N.I., the loss snapped their winning streak at six matches and leaves them with a 13-12 record.

Coming up, Slidell will face off against Northshore at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Catholic - N.I., they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Delcambre on the 7th.
