Football Game Preview: South Delta vs. Riverside

On Friday South Delta take on Riverside at SOUTH DELTA HS at 7:00 PM. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close match.

South Delta have had to suffer through a 3-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took their match against Coahoma County last Friday by a conclusive 38-13 score. Junior Adrain Warfield, who rushed for 189 yards and 2 touchdowns, was a major factor in South Delta's success.

Meanwhile, Riverside were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap, as they fell 16-22 to O'Bannon. This makes it the second loss in a row for Riverside.

South Delta's victory lifted them to 2-3 while Riverside's defeat dropped them down to 1-4. Riverside's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a South Delta defensive front that amassed nine sacks against Coahoma County, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
