Softball Recap: Chatham Cavaliers vs. Altavista Colonels

Chatham barely beat Altavista the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cavaliers were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Colonels on Friday. The Cavaliers haven't had any issues with the Colonels recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Corra Liggon made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
